Football is a kind of sport which has fascinated adherents of this game all over the world and is duly considered a king of sport. Upon assessing topicality of football, SMP Bank participates not only in popularization of this kind of sport, but also provides material support to development of youth football in Latvia.

During the football season of 2008 the teams of FC "Multibanka" participated in the football championships of the Latvian 1^st League, Latvian Youth Supreme League, as well as Riga City Boys and Youth football championships and different international tournaments. The fact that particular young persons of the teams of FC "Multibanka" were promoted and participated within their age groups of Latvian youth champion teams indicates the good fitness of players.

Upon summarizing the performed work it may be concluded that the Children-Youth Football Club "Multibanka" has had a successful season:

• Children within the age group of 7-9 years participated in various children's football tournaments.
• Participation in both, the children's football tournaments, as well as playing in Riga City Boys and Youth football championship has provided the 8^th place  in the age group of 9 years
• In 2008, players of FC "Multibanka" took the 10^th place in Riga City Boys and Youth football championship within the group of 11 years old players according to the total classing.
• The honourable 2^nd place has been won within the youth age group of 15 years while playing in Latvian Supreme League in the respective age group. The team of which two players were also included in the Latvian youth champion team of 15 years old players actively participated in various international youth tournaments in Spain, Poland and Estonia.
• 16 year-old players of FC "Multibanka" won the 5^th place, as well as took part in international youth football tournaments in Poland, Lithuania and Finland.
• In 2008, the team YFC "Kauguri/Multibanka" playing in the adult group (17-20 year-old players) won the 13^th place in the Latvian 1^st League championship including two players of this team representing the Latvian champion team.

The composition of competent and professional coaches: A. Karpov, V. Druzinin, O. Vicehovskaya, V. Vicehovsky, O. Pervusin take care of the team getaways, as well as they trained the teams during this season.
